AIMS OF DEVELOPMENT WATCH INC:
a. to prevent inappropriate development in the Coolum district;
b. to encourage greater public involvement in development issues;
c. to increase public awareness of important development issues;
d. to work closely with our elected officials and Council staff to ensure the consequences of development proposals are accurately assessed;
e. to monitor Council’s planning and decision-making processes;
f. to promote population growth management practices;
g. to influence local economic development efforts towards local small businesses;
h. to encourage policies and planning practices that enhance our quality of life; and
i. to encourage policies and planning practices that enhance our region’s ecology for the enjoyment of future generations.
